Sincere, down to earth, and someone with the understanding of the importance of hard work is greatly cherished with our client.  Position Summary (Mission):  Responsible for managing deliverable's and delivering projects on time from the business requirement stages through post implementation activities. The Project Development Manager will also lead the planning and execution of projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished and company objectives are met. Partners with Product Managers to ensure product’s success. Responsibilities Key tasks, duties, and responsibilities of position 30% - Project Planning Gather requirements and develop a business case for project portfolio management, including high level estimates 

Create project plans; budget, issues list, action items, status reports as well as adhere to internal project methodologies 

Release Planning 50% - Project Execution & Management Manage, integrate and balance resource requirements across multiple projects without adversely impacting deliverables, timelines or quality 

Lead teams in the design, development , integration and support of software products and systems 

Identify and resolve project issues and risks, including tracking, escalation and mitigation 

Perform ongoing support role with regard to application and system operations and results - includes the following; direct support, problem investigation and/or liaison to other departments to ensure timely problem resolution 

Supervise performance and professional development for technical members of team 

Follows an Agile approach to software development as appropriate 

Partners with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure success of the product/functionality being developed 15% - Project Communication Report project progress to senior management and stakeholders, identifying issues and resolutions 

Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver to them.

Job Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities-Minimum Requirements  Capability to understand customer application use from the customer’s perspective – business needs 

Knowledge of multi-tier architecture technology and its use, specifically Java, JavaScript, Apache tcServer/Websphere, Oracle DB. XML and messaging (MQ/Message Broker), Teradata highly desired. In some cases knowledge of Oracle Financials may be required. 

Knowledge of User Experience (UX) and reusability concepts and their application highly desired. 

Broad understanding and experience of full development life cycle. 

Knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques required. 

Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and planning skills. 

Demonstrated strength in project management methodology and practice.  

Strong project leadership and management skills required, including previous experience leading successful technical teams and projects. 

Must possess initiative with strong analytical and problem solving skills. 

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project. 

Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced cross-functional development environment. 

Works under heavy deadlines and is subject to extreme workloads.

Additional Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field desired 

Minimum of seven (7) years software development experience 

2 years of previous software development management/team lead experience required 

Experience with Agile, SCRUM preferred 

PMP Certification preferred 

Agile certification (PMI or Scrum Alliance) preferred
