Job Description

KEY ABILITIES

  • Admin Competencies which involves 'management of the job' , communications, building teams, cognitive competencies
  • Plans, directs and coordinates Bank and/or System project activities and resources to ensure project goals are completed on time, within budget and with optimum quality
  • Provides direction, prioritization and conflict resolution in managing project teams to accomplish project objectives
  • Prepares and implements detailed project plans including definition of scope, requirements, objectives, resource allocation and task schedules and milestones
  • Communicates project goals and results to clients and Bank management
  • Ensures ongoing use of and adherence to Federal Reserve policies and practices including established project management methodologies and Technology Project Standards
  • May provide input on training, development and guidance to staff; evaluate and/or provide feedback regarding staff performance
  • Plans, directs and coordinates project activities and resources to ensure project goals are completed on time, within budget and with optimum quality
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written 
     

Oversees several intermediate to large sized projects - information technology (IT) projects.

Assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and is responsible for determining and acquiring resources needed for projects.

Familiar with the scope and requirements of projects and acts as liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project.

Level of work is considered intermediate and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. May lead or direct the work of others.

This job has no direct reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

•Communicates project goals and results to clients, Bank, and/or System management

•May provide input on training, development, goal development and guidance to staff

•Ensures ongoing use of and adherence to policies and practices including established project management methodologies and Technology Project Standards PT4187 
 

Job Requirements

Education and Experience •Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

•Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field preferred

•5-7+ years of direct work related experience Knowledge and Skills

•Project Management certification (i.e. PMI) or equivalent knowledge

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Demonstrated project and risk management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, resources, customers and management with a focus on consistency and accuracy

•Self-motivated with excellent teamwork skills

•Ability to think independently, make decisions and perform objective analyses

•Possesses broad and specific knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in the field of specialization to the completion of assignments •Ability to explain and present complex topics to stakeholders

•Knowledge of project-management software applications and methodologies ( i.e., Agile/Waterfall Methodologies, JIRA Tool, MS Project)
