Job Description

NOTES FROM HIRING MANAGER:

  • This role is for a seasoned Config Manager Sys Admin who performs SCCM operational work, i.e., creates, configures and performs deployments of application deployments and OS upgrades via task sequences and Windows servicing.
  • This position will primarily involve leading Windows 10 upgrades, i.e., Windows 10 1607 to Windows 10 1803 via task sequences and Windows Servicing
  • Strong SCCM OSD experience using Task Sequences is required
  • Experience with Analytics/Telemetry and Upgrade Readiness
  • Need SQL coding experience to write SCCM reports, queries, etc.
  • Strong scripting experience is essential for this role with an emphasis on PowerShell
  • Strong Windows OS experience
  • Need solid SCCM operational experience at the enterprise level including OSD and App deployments, packaging and content management
  • Individual will need to be onsite in St. Pete
  • Strong oral and written skillset is mandatory; there will be frequent communications with end users and possibly vendors

Daily/Weekly Responsibilities (Note: main responsibilities will be to help with Windows 10 servicing upgrades)

  • System Center Configuration Manager Administration
  • Ability to watch, troubleshoot and resolve SCCM system errors
  • Monitor the health of servers, workstations and agents to include WMI resolution
  • Manage system content to Distribution Points
  • Manage Hardware and Software inventory
  • Create, configure and manage Compliance Settings
  • Create drift audit reports and automate remediation when drifts occur
  • Develop, test and maintain application installation packages using WinRAR and/or InstallShield
  • Configure, test and manage Software Distributions including applications, registry fixes and other scripted commands
  • Monitor software deployments through all environments and resolve any issues
  • Patch Management
  • Manages SCUP, WSUS, Software Updates and Shavlik tools
  • Deploy Microsoft and 3rd party security updates to server and workstation environments
  • Perform vulnerability scans on individual devices
  • Research and remediate outstanding vulnerabilities
  • Operating System Deployment for server and workstation systems – virtual and physical
  • Create, modify, test and deploy
  • Ensure no driver conflicts with existing equipment models
  • Create, run and maintain SQL Queries and Reports
  • Implement advanced scripting using multiple scripting languages when needed, i.e., PowerShell, VB, batch and SQL
  • Coordinate application releases with the customer and other IT areas as needed
  • Manage MS EndPoint Protection products within SCCM, i.e., AV, Encryption, EMET (preferred)
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends
  • Represent the department on project activities to communicate the capabilities of our services
  • Troubleshoot problems to locate root cause and appropriate fixes in expedient fashion
  • Provide support and technical issue resolution in support of other teams
  • Work with vendors for support with resolving issues and developing/maintaining platform strategy
